Our luxury vehicles are available with an experienced driver/guide for one day, or multi-day engagements. Remove the worry and stress associated when driving the unfamilar roads, the cities and towns of New Zealand. Our driver/guides provide detailed information about New Zealand and take you to numerous places that are unknown and often overlooked by many overseas visitors. Passengers are able to sit back and relax to enjoy and experience New Zealand's spectacular sights and scenery during the time spent travelling around New Zealand.    

A Call Jeeves driver/guide will meet you on arrival into all New Zealand locations - including airports such as Christchurch, Queenstown and Auckland. Our experience coupled to our competitive rates, enables total peace of mind by having our luxury vehicle and driver at your disposal during your visit to New Zealand. The use of one of our private vehicles enables the fixing of costs without any unexpected extras such as insurance, fuel and taxes.

We provide experienced itinerary advice on distances of travel and must see towns and locations and should you require, recomendations of accommodation. 

 

A RECOMMENDED ITINERARY FOR AN 8-DAY PRIVATE TOUR VISITING THE MUST-SEE REGIONS OF THE SOUTH ISLAND OF NEW ZEALAND

 

Christchurch City and its surrounds, the West Coast of the South Island, Wanaka, Te Anau, Milford Sound, Queenstown, Mt. Cook and Tekapo

 

Day 1. On your arrival you will be met at the Christchurch airport by your driver/guide for transfer to your accommodation, and depending on arrival time take an optional tour of Christchurch City and surrounds following the check in at your accommodation.

Day 2. Depart Christchurch for travel to Franz Josef over inland rural Canterbury Plains to the picturesque Southern Alps and over two mountain road passes. A stop at Hokitika with optional visits to the jade manufacturing, a kiwi wildlife centre, possum fur products factories plus a visit to a picturesque river gorge or the all-inspiring Tree Top Walk structure amongst the canopy of a New Zealand native forest, before continuing on to the village of Franz Josef. (Overnight Franz Josef)

Day 3. Prior to departing Franz Josef, the option of a scenic helicopter flight into the Southern Alps Mt. Cook region to experience a snow landing along with a walk in the snow. During the travel to Lake Wanaka visit the town of Fox Glacier, take an easy walk to the reflective waters of Lake Matheson that also provide a view of Mount Cook (3754m/12,300+ ft.). Continue on to travel the scenic rain forest region of South Westland including the spectacular Haast Pass highway with stops that include some of the not so strenuous but most picturesque native forest walks including the famous Blue Pools, stops at location for photos at the huge fresh water lakes of Wanaka and Hawea. (overnight Wanaka)

Day 4. After exploring the tranquil township of Wanaka situated on the water’s edge of Lake Wanaka with the views of the Mount Aspiring National Park along with a photo opportunity of the famous 'Tree in The Lake' before departing for Te Anau.  Travel over New Zealand’s highest public highway the 'Crown Range', and the Devils Staircase highway that runs along the shoreline of picturesque Lake Wakatipu with photo opportunity stops on route. In the evening the option of a cruise on lake Te Anau (the South Island largest lake) to the 12,000-year-old under-ground cave system located on the western side of the lake that is home to 1000s of tiny glow worms. (overnight Te Anau)

Day 5. Depart Te Anau to travel to Milford Sound taking in the spectacular mountain scenery on route including the travelling through the (1.2km, - .75 mile) Homer Tunnel into the breathtaking Fiordland region and Milford Sound. At Milford be captivated by a cruise on the mountainous bush clad Milford Sound, its famous Mitre Peak, and spectacular waterfalls before departing for the tourist capital of New Zealand 'Queenstown'. (1st overnight Queenstown).

Day 6. Spend the day in and around Queenstown with the many options to visit the likes of the quaint and historic Arrowtown village with its numerous boutique shops and their high quality products, plus time to include the world famous New Zealand jet boating experience on the Shotover river, or experience bungy jumping either physically or visually, experience the vineyards and cheese of the Gibbston valley and let us not forget the opportunity to spend an evening within the friendly township of Queenstown with its numerous restaurant options, including the world famous 'Ferg Burger' taste experience, and the large variety of retail shops. (2nd overnight Queenstown). 

Day 7. Depart Queenstown travelling the very scenic Kawarau River Gorge, a stop at Cromwell to visit the historic precinct, travel the central Otago region and over the Lindis Pass into the Mackenzie country and Mt Cook. If energetic one may partake in some of the alpine walking tracks or even better hop on a helicopter for never to be forgotten a scenic flight into the Southern Alps and including a snow landing. (overnight Mt. Cook or alternatively overnight at Tekapo should one wish to travel by vehicle up Mt. John to the Astro Cafe with its 360-degree panoramic views of the Alps and Lake Tekapo, in the evening experience the 'Night Sky' viewing. (overnight Mt. Cook or Tekapo)

Day 8. Begin the journey to Christchurch travelling through the rural towns of Fairlie and inland Geraldine before saying farewell to your Call Jeeves driver/guide at Christchurch Airport to board your flight from New Zealand.

The multi-day tour is an all-inclusive itinerary of an 8-day tour, commencing from and returning to Christchurch. 

Should Queenstown be your point of arrival into the South Island, the itinerary can be amended to suit. 

With our touring engagements being private, we have no set itineraries with each tour being individually arranged to suit our clients.

PICK UPS or TRANSFERS - Private and Corporate

Our private transfers include destinations out of Christchurch to resorts or luxury lodges. Call Jeeves Tours passenger transfers service all accommodation locations within the South Island of New Zealand region and also include airport transfers to your accommodation, should a private vehicle with driver/guide be preferable to that of a taxi or shuttle folllowing your arrival. Call Jeeves Tours services are available for longer distance 'private transfers' to and from any location within the South Island.
